Billard Nicolas

Format - 2, 3 or 4 player Singles, Pairs

Dimensions - 30" diameter

Requires Table Top

Arrangement - Play from all round

Air is puffed out from the rubber pears stationed above each player's 'goal' (a circular recess).

The aim is to propel a cork ball into the other players' goals whilst keeping it out of your own.

Adjacent to your pear are scoring beads with which you record the 'goals' you let in.

Upon conceding an agreed number players drop out until only one is left.

Free standing on trestles (supplied)

Arrangement -  play from one end only

Simply roll wooden balls down the board for them to rest in the scoring holes.

Success depends on lightness of touch and pace of the roll.

The 1000 hole is the most challenging.

Table Croquet / Golf Croquet

NB - uses same table as Table Bowls 1

Format - 2 player Singles, Pairs

- red and yellow balls v black and blue balls

Format (Golf Croquet) - 2, 3, 4 player singles, Pairs

Dimensions - 6 ft x 4 ft

Arrangement - Play from all round

Balls are knocked through the hoops using the mallets and in a particular order.

Magnetic indicators are placed on hoops to inform the players which hoop they are on and in which direction they are to hit the ball through the hoop. Bonus shots are taken for running a hoop, hitting another ball (roquet), taking a croquet.

The first pair to run all the hoops and strike the red winning peg with both balls wins.

Golf Croquet - No bonus shots. No paired balls (unless playing pairs). Only the first player to run a hoop scores a point. Then the next hoop is played. Red peg is not used.  Player who runs most hoops wins.

Floor Based - Carpeted Floor only

Format - 2 player Singles, Pairs

Dimensions - 12 ft by 4 ft floor space

Holes are represented by numbered arches from 1 to 9.

 

A number of options

  • Games 1 and 2 - match play or stroke play over 9 holes, with each player / pair using 2 balls. 
  • Game 3 - using 6 balls per turn to achieve highest score.
